EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
This Contract is made between:
Acme Limited
123 Business Park, London, EC1A 1BB
(hereinafter called "the Employer")
and
Sarah Johnson
45 Residential Street, Manchester, M1 1AA
(hereinafter called "the Employee")
1. Job Title and Duties
The Employee is employed as Marketing Manager. The Employee agrees to perform such duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be required by the Employer.
2. Commencement and Type
Employment will commence on 1 March 2025. This is a Permanent contract of employment.
3. Probationary Period
The first 3 months of employment will be a probationary period. During this time, either party may terminate the employment with one week's notice.
4. Salary
The Employee's salary will be £45,000 per year, payable monthly in arrears by bank transfer on or around the last working day of each month.
5. Hours of Work
Normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week. The Employee may be required to work additional hours as reasonably necessary for the proper performance of their duties.
6. Place of Work
The Employee's normal place of work will be London Office.
7. Remote Work
The Employer may permit the Employee to work remotely from time to time, subject to the operational requirements of the business and in accordance with the Employer's remote working policy.
8. Holiday Entitlement
The Employee is entitled to 28 days' paid holiday per year (including public holidays), calculated pro-rata for part-time employees. Holiday must be requested and approved in advance.
9. Sickness and Absence
If the Employee is unable to attend work due to sickness or injury, they must notify their line manager as soon as possible on the first day of absence. The Employee may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay in accordance with UK law.
10. Notice Period
Either party may terminate this contract by giving 2 months' written notice, or such longer period as may be required by statute.
11. Confidentiality
The Employee agrees to keep confidential all information relating to the Employer's business, clients, and affairs, both during and after employment, unless disclosure is required by law.
12. Data Protection
The Employer will process the Employee's personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
13. Governing Law
This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
